The Maritime and Commercial Court was established with effect from 1st of January 1862 and thus more than 50 years before the major reform of the administration of justice in 1919, which founded the current court system in Denmark.

The Maritime and Commercial Court handles civil cases on selected business law matters for the whole country (Court Department) and probate cases on insolvency in Greater Copenhagen (Probate Court).

Come in and get a tour of the Maritime and Commercial Court's beautiful premises and learn a lot about debt restructuring, bankruptcy and intellectual property law.
