Sound Installation, DJs, and Drinks in the October darkness

This year’s culture night program at Cisternerne is primarily amid at an adult audience. Visitors can experience the internationally acclaimed artist Taryn Simon’s current exhibition, Start Again the Lament. An extensive sound installation that explores how we handle grief both individually and collectively. At the beginning of the evening, there will be a performance above Cisternerne. While the exhibition revolves around the major existential issues through ritual lamentations, the performance uses the body as the medium for stories. Later in the evening, DJs will fill Søndermarken with a mixed repertoire of music. During the evening, visitors can also experience the light installation Equinox Portal by light artist Mads Vegas.
