Sundholm – from forced labour to social inclusion

For the first time, Sundholm opens two historical buildings in the former institution for forced labour to the public. The Social Services, Portrait Sundholm, NGOs and the Factory for Art & Design have created an exhibition in the old Machine Hall, which shows people and institutions in the modern Sundholm while recalling features of the historical Sundholm. Past and present are joined in stories written and told by users of today. Visitors can listen to the stories in earphones, as they are guided every full hour to the workshops in the old church hall. Artist Mikkel Bundgaard Pedersen shows representations of artifacts from Sundholm 1903-1999. Today, Sundholm houses vulnerable homeless, kindergartens, NGOs, local councils and companies.
