Thumbelina and the Enchanted Thread

In Tingbjerg, community spirit flourishes through the coming together of people who work creatively with their hands. During the evening, we highlight the synergy between arts, craftsmanship, homemade food, volunteerism, embroidery and community. Experience Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale Thumbelina as a puppet show, enjoy tastings from the award-winning Café Mors Varme Hænder, and try embroidery in the workshop with Igne Oya. Come and use your hands!

The Enchanted Thread - Workshop

Igne Oya is an association of local women who meet every week to do needlework. The workshop's activities focus on the work of the hands as a non-verbal language and on creating a space and community centered around handicrafts. Tonight, you can try picture embroidery inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales.
