Experience two of Camille Henrot's most acclaimed films under the open sky at Copenhagen Contemporary.
Henrot is among the world's most influential living artists: winner of the Silver Lion at the Venice Biennale, exhibited at the New Museum, Centre Pompidou and Palais de Tokyo – and now showing her largest solo exhibition in Scandinavia at CC.
The films:
Grosse Fatigue (2013, 13 min.) tells the creation of the entire world in thirteen minutes – a dizzying collage of pop-up windows, archival images and spoken word, made in the archives of the Smithsonian. The film won the Silver Lion in 2013.
Saturday (2017, 19 min.) follows the Seventh-day Adventist Church across the USA, Polynesia and Tonga – an immersion in hope, faith and longing.
The films screen five times, on the hour from18:00, with the last screening at 22:00.
Inside the exhibition Paper Planes, the centrepiece awaits: In the Veins (2026) – called "an instant classic" by Art in America. Throughout the evening we'll host short talks, and you can fold paper cranes in Kengo Kuma's installation Earth | Tree.
