The Night of Warriors

Meet the warriors up close.
The Veteran Armoured Vehicle and Military Vehicle Association of the Guard Hussar Regiment will bring military vehicles that visitors can sit in.
Experience Japanese warrior culture through a performance featuring taiko drums and kendo combat, where a samurai suit of armour is brought to life.
Meet the Roman legionaries of Legio VI Victrix, Cohors II Cimbria, in full battle gear.
Westfront 1916 brings the history of the First World War to life, which visitors can explore up close.
Inside the museum, visitors can explore firearms, including an AK-47 and an M10.
As darkness falls, the museum’s facade will be illuminated by the light installation Tidsrum by Båll & Brand, connecting the institutions of Slotsholmen.

Warriors from the World War I

Experience a World War I field artillery presentation at 7:15 PM, or watch a military fashion show at 9:00 PM, both inside the museum. Between the shows, Westfront 1916 will present their weapons and equipment to visitors in the museum courtyard.

Meet the legionaries of the Roman Empire up close at shows inside the museum. Between the shows, the Roman legionaries of Cohors II Cimbria will showcase their weapons and equipment to visitors in the courtyard. Through authentic costumes, weapons, armour, and historical storytelling, guests are transported back

Step inside a military vehicle

The Veteran Armoured Vehicle and Military Vehicle Association of the Guard Hussar Regiment showcases military vehicles in the courtyard. Here, you can see and climb inside a Jülkat, an Eagle I, a PIRANHA III, and a Cannon Jeep

Light Installation: Tidsrum

On the museum façade, you can experience Tidsrum, a light installation by Båll & Brand that connects the cultural institutions of Slotsholmen.

War drums, kendo and samurai

Copenhagen Kendo Club and the taiko drumming group from Seidokan Japan Center join forces with a samurai reenactor to give visitors a taste of Japan’s warrior culture at the museum. Between performances, visitors can learn more about and get up close to the equipment, armour, and drums.

The museum’s guides will present a range of weapons that visitors can get up close to and even hold for themselves inside the museum. Here, you can see and handle a Garand rifle, which many people recognize from the Cold War era, and an AK-47, one of the world's most widely used rifles.
