Lego-building Workshop: Come and Build with Us!

For Culture Night 2026, art center O—Overgaden invites visitors of all ages to a creative Lego-building workshop inspired by the exhibition IN PROTEST AND IN CARE, which brings together experiences from artists living with, among other things, disabilities and chronic illness.

As O—Overgaden’s building is listed and not accessible to wheelchair users, we will use collaborative play to build a Lego ramp running through the building’s main staircase. The ramp will serve as a creative starting point for discussing how accessibility is envisioned—and, not least, built.

The project is initiated by exhibiting visual artist and activist Anna Walther. It is created in collaboration with architect and Lego Masters winner Magnus Klint Sørensen, as well as researcher and activist Maria Gonginger Naps.
