Experiencing the Roman Empire through the senses!

On the Culture Night we will dive into our brand new fascinating exhibition "The Power of Fashion in the Roman Empire", which focuses on how the Romans and the elite used clothing, hair, make-up, and accessories such as jewelry, shoes, and perfume.

Through scents and meditative music, we bring stories from antiquity to life, and on the Culture Night you can experience the exhibition in a new way fx through our 3 unique tours in the exhibition, drawing workshop for children and a meditative soundscape in The Central Hall.

In the Café Picnic you can enjoy a lovely meal and refreshments with a view to the palmtrees in the Winter Garden. The kitchen closes at 20.00. For beverages open until 22.30 and walk-ins only in Picnic on Culture Night.

Draw the statues' clothes - Workshop for children

The ancient Greeks and Romans wore colorful clothes, but you cannot see this on the sculptures at the Glyptotek. The original colors are gone, and the sculptures often lack arms and legs. Something must be done about this! Come to the Culture Night at the Glyptotek and draw togas, hats, sunglasses, new feet, and sandals for the sculptures.

Through song and rhythm, you are invited into the temples of antiquity, where the colorful marble sculptures were surrounded by music and scents.
