More Than a Game

Video games are more than entertainment. They are worlds we explore, stories we step into, and culture we create together.

For Copenhagen Culture Night, Games Denmark opens its doors to the Danish games industry. Experience Danish games, meet some of the people behind them, and take a look behind the scenes, where ideas are transformed into living digital worlds.

Try new Danish games, explore Danish games culture, and discover how art, music, storytelling, technology, and play come together to create a game.

Denmark has created games played by millions of people around the world. For one evening, we bring them up close and invite children, adults, seasoned players, and curious newcomers inside.

During the evening, you can meet:

Coding Pirates and Team Giffl with FIRST® LEGO® League – get inspired to code and program robots.
High5Girls – meet other girls in STEM and gaming.
NEXT Sukkertoppen – Denmark's largest HTX high school, located in Valby. The school focuses on STEM and offers plenty of opportunities in game development.
The Animation Workshop – see how characters and animation are made for games.
Bitfire Games – come meet the developers behind the multiplayer game Darkswarm.
Triband – meet Denmark's only comedy game developers, behind titles like WHAT THE CAR? and WHAT THE GOLF?
... and much more!
