Experience Jernbanebyen: Past, Present and Future
Step inside the heart of Jernbanebyen and gain a unique insight into one of Copenhagen's most exciting urban development areas. During our guided tours, we share the story of the historic railway workshop site, which has played an important role in Danish railway history for generations, as well as the vision for the new Jernbanebyen, a vibrant and sustainable district currently taking shape.
Along the route, you will encounter a series of artistic installations created by Olivia Brix and Lukas Keysell. Through light, sound, and immersive sensory experiences, they interpret Jernbanebyen's transformation from an industrial area into a new green neighbourhood, inviting visitors to explore the dynamic relationship between the site's past, present, and future.
Guided tours depart every 30 minutes and last approximately 25 minutes. Each tour can accommodate up to 20 participants. Before or after the tour, visitors are welcome to explore an exhibition about the future development of the new district.
The final guided tour begins at 10:00 PM.
The event is organised by DSB Property Development in collaboration with the Vesterbro Local Committee.
