Connectedness

Come and help shape a democracy of species through music, embroidery, role-playing, performances, live owls, AI-generated tea brewing and a vibrating spaceship called VESICA. It will be both sensitive, hopeful and experimental. Benjamin Hugo Lager, Ramona August, Cecilie Noer and Søren Peter Mørch are the artists behind The Tea Brewery of the Species and The Sense Spaceship VESICA.

The Sense Spaceship VESICA

Feel the vibrations of nature with live improvisations by cellist Veronika Krøll Voetmann. Lie down on a vibrating floor under a large canvas and indulge in sounds and images that envelop you in the beauty of nature. The installation is a sensory spaceship called VESICA. A ship that does not travel in geographical space but our inner world.

The Tea Brewery of the Species

Be enchanted by the magic of the species served in a cup of tea. Using AI, the artists have generated recipes for different tea blends, inspired by the spirit of the species. Take e.g. against a cup of owlet, and notice how the combination of yerba mate, blueberry, ginko biloba and chamomile mirrors the week's clarity, alertness and deep calm.

The Ritual of the Species part I, open workshop

The Ritual is a tribute to the many species that live in the area. Performer Linh Le and visual artist Phuc Van Dang invite the visitors to paint endangered species, after which they will be part of an animation by Phuc Van Dang, projected onto a canvas and illuminated together with Linh Le's performance in the dark view of the harbor.

The Voices of Nature

Get lost and help create the species-rich democracy in the form of a role-playing game, where we each represent a species and together discuss the interests of the ecosystem. We do our best to interpret between the species, but we must use our imagination, empathy and listening skills to understand each other.

Sensitive Embroidery

Text embroidery, reading aloud, audio narration, immersion and silent fellowship. Thread big and small emotions, hopes and doubts, connecting messages etc. when we freehand embroider together with Kris from Følsomt Broderi. There will be materials available and you can get help along the way.
