Charleston and Chaplin

Guests of Culture Night can travel back in time to the vibrant 1920s. In “Festsalen”, we invite you to dance the Charleston with live music performed by Tuxen Lockjaw. We offer light instruction from dance instructors from SwingShoes. Meet Vesterbro’s own Styltesigne in the role of Charlie Chaplin, who magically reappears this evening. Our “Havesal” will resonate with the finest classical avant-garde music performed by the Messiaen Quartet. The groundbreaking experimental short film “Ballet Mécanique” will be shown in the atmospheric “Kongesal”, which also hosts avant-garde performances. Costumed guests are most welcome.
