Follow the female artists

The art museum The Hirschsprung Collection invites you to an evening dedicated to women artists. Experience the new special exhibition 'Women visulizing the modern. Danish Art 1880-1910'. With the Danish Modern Breakthrough as a lens, the exhibition focuses on Danish women's contributions to the visual arts of the period. The exhibition maps their production, the themes they addressed, and the questions and problems they raised. Discover both well-known painters such as Anna Ancher and Marie Krøyer as well as lesser-known artists such as Sophie Holten and Anna Petersen. You can also delve into the museum's classic collection of 100 years of Danish art from the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century.
