A crime has been committed and we need your help to solve the mystery. Solve the puzzles you find in the Maths Library and you'll find the culprit. There are different levels, so anyone aged 12-102 with an interest in maths and puzzles can join in.
Can you put 2 and 2 together? Can you do more than that? Whether you're in the youngest or oldest classes, come and test your skills in a star race where you'll be sent around the building to a series of stations. At each station, you'll be set a task appropriate to your level. In Danish.
In the Chess Corner, you can compete against chess players from the Department of Mathematical Sciences and the co-organising Chemists' Chess Club. Our hosts will play against anyone who wants to challenge them. There will also be some written chess problems (of varying levels of difficulty) for you to work on.
Experiment with soap bubbles and learn why they behave the way they do. Build a kaleidoscope and play with mirrors. Make like quantum physicist Paul Dirac and play with a beer bottle opener and strings to investigate spin. You will be guided by researchers from the Centre for Geometry and Topology (GeoTop).
Researchers from the Centre for the Mathematics of Quantum Theory (QMATH) talk about quantum mathematics and quantum computing.
